I've talked to the guys at Finneys. They directed me to Kachina powerboats, their new 34 Matrix comes with a removable windscreen. I've never call at the right time to catch the right guy.
I like flip up or removable. I like to be able to get up on the deck with out banging my shins up on something.
I see what you mean about them being wide enogh. I'll keep that in mind.

Payton,
Do they offer a rail mount for those screens you bought from Gaffrig? If so, maybe I'll buy them from you. I can look at them and if I don't want them I could return them to Gaffrig for you, they are 4 miles from my house. Just a thought. PM me if you like.

If flaps like that can slow down an airplane, just think what it does to a boat. With all the effort we put into a boat for that last .02 mph, why would we knock 2-3 mph off because we don't want a little wind in the face. I refuse to use mine. I refer to them as air brakes.

I didn't really like the flaps that you could buy. They were too large. I notice that just putting your hand in front of you made a world difference. So I bought the bars and fab. the deflectors. They were ok but still butt ugly. I put up with them for that season and then made the windshield out of plexiglas. This is the second season with no problems.
The manufacturies need to read this post. I don't like a windshield but I also don't like the wind blast. My windshield height is just right. High enough to get the wind out of my eyes and I can hear the stereo.

As far as "air brakes" I consider my body one big air brake. That Wind deflector is a lot smaller than me.
MikeHTMsr24. I like the look of that. What thickness of glass did you use.
Too Old, do you know how thick the plexiglass was on the Cig pic you posted?

I connected one end and then the other with no problems on a straight piece. It took a little pratice to get the right radius on the bottom side to match the boat.
