Trade Proposal (involving exotic car)
I am looking for a new boat, and would like to potentially trade my "toy(s)" in the transaction.
Here is what I am looking for:
Almost new (or new) 35-38 foot boat with twin 500EFI's (or bigger) that is capable of 80mph (or more), and has good cabin space.
Boats on my list:
35/38 Formula Fastech
37 Outerlimits
38 Hustler
38 Nortech
I like Cig's, but cabin space is not good for me.
Here's what I have to offer for trade:
2001 BMW Z8 (rare car, not the Z3) with 5600 miles.
2002 288 Sunsation with 500EFI and 30 freshwater hours.
If you want to try and make a deal, let me know!
Thanks,
HP-J

My Sunsation with 500EFI runs just a tad over 82mph with a lab finished prop. This is "speedo speed", not sure about GPS/real speed. But, for a single engine boat, it flies. I have outrun many twin engine boats. Lots of fun. I'll take a peek at the Formula you are referring to. Thanks.

Wow, with 600HP, he should probably be doing well over 80mph. I'm not sure how far out of whack my speedo is, but I have to figure that it's doing around a real 75mph (but again, can't be sure). I would think that the 600HP in the 288 should push it into the mid 80's. The 288 is so light, and with a 2 foot chop, it should really fly with that much power. Maybe he's got a lot of weight in the boat with extra cabin options?

I see 67 on my speedo here with a stock 502. I have beat some twins and lost by inches to some. but keep in mind we are all stock. for a single 28 I am happy with my Sunsation. My friends 29 baja with 454 mags is only about 1/2 boat faster.
