but people from 5 years ago are unlikely to be on this forum these days. send a PM to someone. if they still have same email address, they will get it, or at least a notice about full inbox. or start a new thread in general or parts wanted section. the rest of us don't need to read through 10 year old threads. yoabout 50 pounds more...ur best bet is to buy a junk bravo boat and strip the transom assy and small parts. sell the trailer. scrap the seized engine. now go get an imco shortie lower. you have spent a little more than the price of a used 30 year old SS and have a drive that will hold up and you can get parts for. weighs about 50 pounds more than alpha setup.

I found one for a friend about a month ago on FB. There are two places to watch for parts powerboat swap shop and power boat swap. Now the bad news. They are older units so don't expect insides to be in the best of condition I took it apart and upper gear set bad, no big deal. The lower pinion shaft was twisted and as you known they are shorter than std MR, the shaft is no longer available. I gave him a std MR pinion shaft and sent him to S&S Propeller. They are going to cut down std. pinion shaft and respline it. Also there is a Lake George Donzi group on FB. The group has members that restore older Donzi's
