YZ

Waterfoul posted a response to a questiopn similar to yours on the Formula owners section. he had some phone numbers for the grand haven marina's and some advice.

the municipal marina is very nice, but 3/4 reserved for the poker runners. don't know if any of the others can be had unless you come on wed or thurs and make a real long weekend. they always have a few for transient first come/first served.....

check the thread i mention

We locals are tryoing to get organized for some of you "visitors"
last year we watched them show up in Holland (10 miutes after they started in Grand Haven!!)
then we went to grand have to watch them pull in and have lunch. we walked the docks, touched a couple boats. watched them all fire up (way cool) then watched them head north. and hung out in GH the rest of the day. it was a great time.

I propose someone ( probably me) get some large banners or flags made with OSO logo, so we can kind of congregate somewhere. many of us passed each other all day not knowing we were OSO members.....

is it June yet?

Go to Muskegon there is more room there and less people just a short run north call Great Lakes I'm there, Crazyhorse,Fred,SuperV, and who ever else that shows up on that weekend, nice people to deal with not to many rag baggers!

Wally,
Keep us posted on the crossing. We maybe interested in running across with you from North Point. How many boats do you have so far?

Default Hey Mark (Payton)!

The wife is 5 months pregnant! We're very excited. It's been a long road for her with the cancer and the egg donor process (chemo killed her eggs). Needless to say, boating is not her top priority this summer. Due date is 8/21.

The Cig is "under contract". Although it pains me to part with it, it's too expensive if it's not used.

I will be looking to mooch rides, though. I'm a helluva rope monkey!

I'll be calling candyman soon. We need to catch up.

Hope all is well with you and your family now.

Bill

I would have to agree about staying in Muskegon. It has been a pleasure there, a fun lake. Slips and service are excellent whether you're docking in town or by the Sub.

There are quite a few people planning on making a day run across the pond to watch the Poker Run, C.O.P.S. is planning on making that one of their monthly runs and I know some others that are planning on doing it just to watch the Big Boys play.

I depends on the weather. Last year I trailered the boat because of bad weather predicted on Sunday. It ended up being ok. (If I boated across it would of guaranteed a small craft warning - Murphy's law). The trip across is 2 hours from Northpoint at a nice 45mph cruise. The trip around is 4 hours by truck. Early morning and late evening are the best. Plan for the sun being in your eyes depending on the direction of travel.

As noted by Back4More - only do this if you plan on NOT breaking your boat during the run.

Bob is right - Cops is planning a run that weekend.
