Oil Filters Froze Up......help!

Can you get the filter mounting bracket off the engine/boat? Maybe sticking it in a bench vise will give you some more leverage and options.

Get a big a$$ screwdriver .... place the blade against the base of the filter like you are gonna chisel it ... then get a BFH and whack it in the loosey direction ... being careful NOT to hit the engine side of the mating surface with the blade.... BABY STEPS .... That's about all you can do once you've torn the rest of the filter off with all the above methods...
Last resort.. .. HACKSAW!! Doohhhh!!!

I know how you feel, I had one stuck the last time I changed my oil, and I am they guy that put it on!!!!
It can be a real bi**h. Broke one wrence trying to get it off.

Ive also had some luck using Freeze spray you can find at electronics places. Spray it all around where the gasket is. Sometimes this will freeze the rubber gasket just enough where it will skrink and break loose from the mount.

When you put them back use a thin coat of thick grease instead of oil it won't happen again ,,,,if that oil is absorbed into the rubber gasket or the yo-yo doesn't use any or enough then wham-o you have lock down ,use grease

I think the last idiot that put them on not only did not use grease or even oil............I THINK HE USED SOME LIQUID NAILS!!
The bastard has turned a 5 minute job into a 5 day job.....can you tell I am pissed about the whole deal???
