Oh yeah, it was at night. If you were standing on the bow looking towards the stern you could see the BAR that the guy had just left. That marker is about 100 feet outside a marina. The guy got it on plane in the middle of the marina according to witnesses and was traveling about 30 when he hit the piling. He was "avoiding" an incoming sailboat according to him(no other witnesses). What is even more amazing is that boat was fixed and sold not too long ago-someone posted a pic of it here.
