Do I see a trim ram in that drive?
So are these drives available or not? Dry sump or what?
And you forget the cost of the radio. OK more like $2500.

You do not see a trim ram per se, but the prop shaft angle is manually adjustable a few degrees. What you are probably looking at is a stop that keeps the drive at the adjusted angle. The drives can pivot upward if they hit an obstruction. The drives are available, it's just a question of cost and predictable availability. I have been trying to get one for five months. I need to look at the dimension from the prop shaft centerline to the bottom two mounting bolts. This dimension is definitely less than the Kanellos drives. This obviuosly affects the X dimension. and on the RC boats the props can not be too high out of the water, and actually the bottom of the prop shaft should be about even with the bottom of the keel. The drives are wet sump with ATF fluid or 30 weight oil for lubrication. The radios are less than $200 even with failsafes for automatic (loss of radio signal or low battery voltage to the receiver) and manual override engine shutdown which is absolutely necessary for safety.

Here's a picture of my boats, One is a seamless hull I made and it Has a moddified 30cc water cooled Homelite with wet tuned pipe. It also has a water pump and clutch and surface drive makeing it a nice safe play boat
The Other Boat (Justice) is a 51 inch Patriot with a full mod G23 Zenoah and dry pipe. Direct surface drive no clutch.
I also build and sell these boats.
