Re: 73 Cigarette Flat Deck
I'm modding out an Echo weedeater now for mine. I have had quite a few different motors in it, zenoah, homelite, ryobi, and echo seems to be my favorite. It isn't as fast as the marine zenoah, but the clutch and reliability are far superior in my opinion.
I was thinking about building a 60+ inch cat with twins.... have been looking at the #6 for a while now... how well do they hold up??? I'm really abusive on the boats, The shaft design I have now has lasted 2 years without any problems... it was a custom design my dad and I built, but before it I couldn't get and of the flex shaft crap in stock boats to las 30 minutes

Nice boats guys, there is a hobby shop down the street from my old house that had powerboat type looking models that went over 100 mph and they raced them out near my house also

I can't afford a model V-6
but I might can swing a pair of #6's if the sife will go for it... I could use a stagger set up in my hull... but I want to build a twin cat

Re: 73 Cigarette Flat Deck
Had to re-register so REN3 is 35cig now. There is a possibility that I can supply some of my 73" Cigarette hulls if there is enough interest. Sorry for the delay, but divorce and survival comes first! Email me at [email protected] if anyone is intersted in a hull. Thanks. Bob N.

Re: 73 Cigarette Flat Deck
I see very little mention of Quick Draw when people talk about model engines. They make a kick a$$ little motor. A buddy of mine has a pair of the 7hp Quick Draws in a 72" Apache. That thing screams when he brings those motors up to 17,000 rpm.
Quickdraw also makes a 14hp 2 cylinder motor.

Is there still any R/C interest here?
I was searching and found this site. I was wondering if any of you fellows are interested in r/c boating here. I have plenty of info and even selling a couple of boats myself. Email me at [email protected] if this sparks anyones interests. Warren.
