Saturday night, besides the barbeque and the DJ, is going to be a casino night along with the silent auction for the JDRF. Still a few spots left!!!

I feel your pain Rick, I too have a problem with being in my boat this weekend, only the problem is not the boat. I got back from Havasu Monday night and started getting pains in my stomach, by Tuesday morning my appendix were taken out . You have no idea how bummed I am right now. If the ocean is real calm I still might make the run. At the very least I'm going to come down for the fun on land. I don't suppose I could get everyone to postpone for a week, could I?

Quest for Speed-
I've checked the rules and regulations, the poker run application, the membership application, the website and pretty much every thing. What I found is that YOU DON'T NEED an appendix to participaite!
I hope you feel weel enought to make it down.....at least to hang out and rest.

Thanks, I'll be there no matter what, just hope the water is not too rough so I can run. I know some of you want to see some rollers, I usually do too but If I can't run I might have to let my wife run to pick up the cards

Hey Guys
I'll see you out there. My buddy Tim called me tonight and told me he has room for me and my girlfriend in his 42' Fountain (Reggie's former Ohio Steel) The name of the boat is Never Satisfied. I wasn't planning on going, but gonna be in L.A. Sat night anyway. Should be a blast...
Hey DMan, I'll try to get him to join scope, and when I get my boat next year, I'll join.

DMan--
Tim wants to bring his motorhome there Sat night, where can he park it? When Popra comes to town, they park right on the col-de-sac (right off the main road--Shoreline drive??) about 100yrds away from the Yardhouse. Can he park there?. What about parking the trailers also? Thanks for the info and we'll see you there.

DMan,
Great event!
The MaxQ Racing Team will need about a week to recover. Unfortunatly we had to head home last night. Propably a good thing though, Tim (aka IPJAA, "instant party just add alchol") and Keith (the Baldman) did not get in until 3 a.m. Sunday morning (I heard something about a bad strip joint) they were hurting on Sunday and slept the entire way back to Sac.
Saturday night was a blast, SCOPE knows how to throw a great event. Still have not figured out how to tell the wife about the $500 hat??? Getting the intercom system for the pleasure boat will be great. Looking forward to getting it.
For any of you that are reading this thread and you did not attend, bummer for you!!! This is without a doubt the best organized event in the West and maybe in the World. The fact that it is for a charity makes it that much sweeter.
The water was perfect for our little 28', we had plenty of air-time and only a few broken parts (minor stuff). On the drive home we had a blow-out on the trailer, which sucked as our stuff is maintained real well.
Please make sure you stop by when we are racing in Hunnington come August.
Rick

Sorry I missed meeting you rick, I looked for your Nordic and never saw it, maybe too much booze. Great event though, right from Friday night through late Sunday afternoon. I did make the run on Sunday without my appendix, just put on a kidney belt and let her fly. Hopefully we'll meet at the race in Huntington.
