Default It so hard to go anywhere on a friday night

We go to a city/mall thing, me and a friend in his 03 RSX, following a few friends in an Escort and a S-10 Xtreme. We all get seperated and of course dont have each others cell numbers. That pisses us off enough, driving around for an hour, then we pass some crappy talon non turbo with a blow off valve (all looks, no balls) and he starts following us, trying to get a race going, we wave trying to get him to go away, now he thinks its on, so we just drive around normal, after 15 min he leaves. after an hour, we just leave and go to the movies (where everyone goes on fridays) and thats where the S-10 and escort have been for 20 min. Then some kid in his civic sees us sitting there and tells us of this "gathering" of "600+" imports. we say we dont want to go to that, not into racing, (just got the RSX back from last wreck) he says theres a few RSX there all done out, so we go, get there and theres 20 cars, all show no go, all neon lights and crap, half of them are early 80's accords with no mufflers so we go to leave and the civic who talks us into going decides he wants to race at some stoplight. He floors it, friend in the RSX drives normal, shifting at 4k and as soon as we hit third, civic was way back there. Later he blamed it on having his back seat in it still (civic back seats weigh less than 10 lb )

Its so hard to go anywhere on friday in a half decent car and not have some kid with neon wipers try to race. Next weekend will be hell everywhere, keep your loved ones off the streets, our favorite movie Fast and Furious 2 comes out, so to show off everyones massive 115 hp, they will all be racing everywhere.

Ahhh, to be young again.
My days were Mustang 5.0's and Camaros.

Enjoy your youth while you have it. Soon you'll be married with children and begging for time to go work on your boat.
When that happens, Fri and Sat nights will mean nothing to you exept early bed time because you were busy with the house and the kids all weekend.

That about sums it up.....sad part about it is that some of the guys do exactly that, SLAP it on. Hanging on with stove pipe wire is true work of a 16YO with too much money and not enough brains.

It's a riot pulling up next to one of those fart can guys when they have the windows down and I sit there and get the ole' PSD turbo spooled up just waiting for the light to change and then let her loose along with a big ole' puff of black smoke when the light turns .

The look on their faces when they scramble to close the window is the best.

I dont think there is anything more annoying than these idiots who pull up and think they have a kick @SS stereo, so they have it cranked and you hear all kinds of s**t rattling and vibrating on the car.
