It works great on hot days. It will cool down to 70-75 degrees in our cabin. I have two different cooler one is a 15 quart which hold 4 bags of ice and will last about 4 hours on a very hot day. Then I have a 40 quart cooler which I think hold 10 bags of ice and it will cooler for about 10 hours. You can prolong the ice by freezing 2-liter drink bottles and using those.

DO you put the frozen liter bottles in the cooler with water, and if so how much water do you put in the cooler.
Sorry for all of the questions, but it would be nice to have an AC type alternative when sleeping on the boat away from the dock and shorepower.
