One of my drives trim is very very slow to raise and lower and overnight it will drop all the way down. It seems it is really having to work compared to my other drive. Does this sound like a bad trim pump? Low fluid levels? or need to bleed the lines?? I just wanted some advise before I jumped in there and started messing with it for the first time.
I got a price of $85 to rebuild the pump locally, same day service. Is this a fair price?? Should I just cut to the chase and shill out the $85 and get on the water or should I try to troubleshoot the problem.
Any advise would be helpful!!
Thanks!

I do not know the answer to this but I am sure that if you call Doller Offshore Marine (800-376-1616) they will help you.

start by checking the fluid level, then if that is fine does the drive creep while running, you may have a leaking acuator (internal). or maybe a bad check valve.
