WTF ?? There's another thread on this problem in WI.. Dude.. Strength in numbers. If we don't so something about this BS soon where are we going to use our boats? Loud pipes save lives was a popular motorcycle slogan. Maybe we should adopt it !!!

I thought that maybe I can help you out. My silencing system will get your boat to comply with the law, and you won't lose any speed. Give me a call if you are interested 1-866-843-1900 and ask for Dan

Thanks

I still like to know why silent choice is illegal in many areas including NY where I live, ? is there a existing way to make legal without removing it?

TOPDJ
THEY HAD TO DRAW THE LINE AND SAY THAT ALL SWITCHABLE SYSTEMS ARE ILLEGAL BECAUSE YOU AREN'T COMPLYING WITH THE LAW AT ALL TIMES. IF YOU PUT A FULLTIME SILENCER ON THE BOAT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO RUN WITH IT AND NOT HAVE TO REMOVE THE SILENT CHOICE. I HOPE THAT I HAVE ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION.

Mr. HydroPower,
I am definately encourged by your muffler system, but your mufflers will not quiet a 1000 h.p. engine to 86 decibles like the state of Wisconsin wants us to abide by. Don't you feel like 90 or 92 decible's are a more resonable goal to acheive????????? I know you are going to make money on this deal, but you need to side with us on this matter to get it resolved. We all know that we are going to have to quiet our boats down, but under 90 decibles is absolutely out of the question.
Here is a good idea. You send me 2 sets of your mufflers and I will put them on this week-end. I will head my way up the Wolf river once again and we will see if these DNR nazi's are pacified. If they are, I will gladly buy them and this would be excelent advertising for your product. If they are not and I receive another ticket, I will gladly send it off your way. sounds like a fair plan. No disrespcet to you, I don't want an argument over this, but again, 86 decibles is down right unreasonable. My 2002 Z06 is 94 decibles out of the factory. So let's all team up and battle this problem. we have to stick together.

Little Tommy

I have to agree 86db is a little excessive. Give me a call tomorrow so that we can talk about this. I will be willing to work something out with you.

My lake, Skaneateles Lake (just outside of Syracuse) 15 miles long, now has 3 full time cops on it due to a minority of local people with big bucks wanting to "sit on their dock and enjoy complete silence". There hasn't been a serious accident in years, but there has been two of us with thru-hull pipes that run over 35 mph. That is all it took. Great use of tax dollars.....
I'm just hoping that one of the jackasses that wanted this so bad end up getting a DWI in their party boat - maybe then they'll realize that a little noise wasn't so bad!

(3) A person shall not manufacture, sell, or offer for sale a motorboat for use on the waters of this state unless that motorboat is equipped and maintained with an effective muffler or underwater exhaust system that complies with the applicable sound levels permitted under subsection (1) or (2).

Isn't MI the home of Skater among many other performance legends??? Won't they help fight this fing bullspit???
