Fun, your boat would do the same thing as would mine.
Federal boat safety standards are limited in scope. For example, maximum horsepower, persons and weight capacities and flotation requirements apply only to boats under 20 feet.
Your fountain would sink like a rock and my understanding is some have, there was a lawsuit a few years back on I believe a 32 with big blocks.
In my uneducated opinin the reason race boats float sometimes is that 1) lighter lay up 2) no weight in the cabin to speak of 3) no deck hatch to let air escape 4) some added flotation (guessing)

I think it's just how much air the bow can trap.
Bad Habit (38 Scarab) was almost cut in two in a collision a few years back on LOTO. The bow still stuck out of the water 2 ft when I drove by.
Although I did noth check it for ping pong balls.

.......Excuse me if I'm missing something here,
but, isn't there a bilge pump switch on the dash
or was it not working also ???
If as much water was coming in as reported, the
float should have had no problem staying in the
"up" position by itself.
I wonder if this guy has a different view on
maintenance now????

Story I heard is that the hull had a hole in it and was repaired by the owner. Repair came off and allowed the water to come in and flooded the bilge and floor. Still a tragedy and will cause nothing but head aches and other recourse for others.

So correct me if im wrong. At first, I heard this cruiser went down when a wave hit it, went down so fast, the girl asleep underneath got trapped.
This is a different story. If there was someone down there with all this crap going on and he didnt get her out of there, they should fry his A$$.
