I am in the same boat you are(no pun intended). I am wanting speeeeed!!!But..... The fiance wants room to sleep and entertain. I have been researching the Black Thunder's, and the Donzi's. I have personally set my mind on a 38ZX. i also did some research on the Outerlimits, and if you want an incredible boat, they are it, but I have found them a little pricey for me. I am looking for a 99 or 00 38zx Daytona with 500efi's that I am going to have rebuilt to about 750hp. that should be a solid 92-94mph boat. The 45ZX is a great boat that handles well, but is significantly heavier than the 38. I think there is 3000lb difference. (11500vs14500)
After researching the BT's, they are not built to the quaility standards that I am looking for, and to get the speed you are wanting, you are going to have to build big power. On the other hand, the cabin on these is incredible for overnight stays. Good Luck

Lonestar38zx,
Black Thunders are built every bit as well as Donzi's. They may not be built as well as Outerlimits, but Donzi's are production boats, and BT are built at least as well as the Donzi's. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, Donzi's are not built as well as BT. Just my opinion though.
