Anyone from Maine?
The wife has always wanted to go to Maine to have a lobster, - I need a vacation and it sounds like a good idea.
Where is the best place to go, and when is a good time to go? I'm thinking in the next few weeks, if everything works out OK.
Any suggestions?

Bar Harbor is beautiful, if you have never been to Maine it`s a must see.
Head up the coast along route 1 north and you will pass through many nice old towns and get to see the local color.
If you are pulling a boat and want to explore the lakes, give me a call.

Spent 18 years there. Biggus is right, go to Bar Harbor. The entire area of Mt. Desert Island is beautiful, especially Acadia National Park with Cadillac Mt. Going up Rt. 1 you will go through Camden, great shops. Going through Freeport is L.L. Bean, they won't let you leave the state without a receipt from L.L. Bean. You will think you're in heaven. Winters are just too damn long. If your in Portland go to "3 Dollar Dewey's" down by the waterfront. Best chili I've ever had and a beer selection you will never believe. In Bar Harbor stay at the "Ulekana in the Field" Bed and Breakfast. Roy and Elene', the Innkeepers, are as good as it gets. Be sure to try Miguels, mexican resturant, and of course the Porcupine Grill. Good Luck...

I live in Portland,
The whole coast is really cool, Boothbay Harbor, Camden, Rocklan Bar Harbor, It 's probably worth taking a run to NH White mountains and driving the Mt.
Washington Auto rd..6'000 feet of granite...
All the other places mentioned are great too..
Samoset Resort in Rockland is pretty cool if you want a Resort.
