Thanks again!
Thanks again guys for all your input. We are planning on the weekend of the 15th. If the seas are calm will make a short trip out or just hang in broad bay. As stated above, the 230SX doesn't like the big stuff so I have to really pay close attention to the water conditions.

I highly recommend splashing at Seashore State Park (64th St.) or the brand new City Marina at the west end of Lessner Bridge (over the mouth of Lynnhaven Inlet). There is so much to see and do at Lynnhaven Inlet, and yes the bar scene is quite nice with Inlet, Bubbas, Dockside and Chicks all lined up just inside the bridge. Then, if the winds are good you can bop out into the Bay and around Cape Henry into the ocean in 15 - 20 minutes. Its a much more scenic trip coming around from that end of the beach. If it get too rough just spin it around and head back into the Bay or Inlet.
Keep us apprised. We will be out on the 16th. The HRPA and RPBA are having our annual River Rendezvous up on the James river that day. Many of us will be heading out of Lynnhaven Inlet that morning. Returning sometime Sunday.
