Powerquest boats ??

The 290 was designed to run to about 70 mph, when 502's came out it was starting to go beyond that and it was squirly and chine walked. I was talking mostly about build quality. My 91 had a better fit and finish and much of finishing details were removed around 97-98 models too keep costs inline with others. I think alot of the warrenty claims that people are talking about are more related too features like microwaves coming loose, sliding cabin doors, hotwater tanks, water systems, etc. that arent on most boats or if they are the manufacturer wouldnt touch under warranty.

Mad Hatter, what was the year of the Vyper??
I have a 98 Avenger with the "S" Handling problem. PQ has offered to fix it this fall. That's right 5 years and two owners later!
I will tell you this the hull is in great shape, only two small gel coat cracks just under the swim platform in the corners on each side and one small one by the cabin door.

Good for you Ray. Who's head did you have to put the gun too? Are they going to do it in house? If done right I think you will be happy. I know all 98-99 and some early 2000's had some issues before they put the rocker in bottom. Not sure about the 34 though.
