Man - This is driving me crazy!
My issue STILL hasn't arrived, and now I'm on the road (in Colorado Springs), and can't find a copy anywhere. I went to Borders yesterday - no luck. Can someone scan the article and email it to me? (Use the "profile" link at the bottom of this post, and don't worry about the file size - I have a T1 line at my hotel.)
Anyway - thanks for all the kind words, although I have to wonder if Too Old thinks I look fat ("Chunk"?) in the pictures.
You guys are right about the NJPPC. I just wish that we could somehow get all the major players in the Poker Run business to sit down around the table for an informal meeting to standardize as many things as possible and coordinate our policies, efforts, and planning. For a while it looked like the APBA LLC might play a role as a central source of guidance, but it looks like they got plenty busy attending to their main business, which is understandable. Still, when you look at the American Motorcyclists Association (they invented Poker Runs, remember?), the way they lay out their policies, rules and sanctions puts us boaters to shame.
Hey DaveP, Barkley, Bill Taylor, Stu Jones, etc.: How about setting up a "Poker Runs Round Table" at the 2004 Miami Boat show? We could all share our thoughts and ideas, even get some presentations from the AMA, insurance and legal guys as well. The more we get our collective "Poop in a group", the better off we will all be to fend off any attacks or legislation that could affect us all. I'm sure NJPPC could spend hours on that subject.

Thanks for the spelling "correction". I still think it was intentional....
