I'll soon have pictures of the boat up on my web page. I went to the salvage company this evening and took a few pictures. It was a pretty bad wreck. My step dad was out in his boat tonight and I didn't even want to go I just came back to Galveston. I don't think I'll be out on the water much after dark anymore.

The latest from the news:
HOUSTON -- The U.S. Coast Guard has called off its search for a man who went missing in the Houston Ship Channel after his speedboat collided with a barge.
The search began Wednesday evening after a 40-foot speedboat, driven by Larry M. Nixon, and the barge ran into each other.
Rescue crews searched a 37-square mile area for Nixon, 54, of League City but had no luck, ending their search Thursday evening.
Officials are still investigating the accident’s cause.
P.S. Hey TS80, where is the boat?

The boat is at a salvage yard off of 517 just east of hwy146. There are a lot of salvaged boats there. They don't have the bow though. It looks as if it broke off just in front of the cockpit. The drivers bolster is the only seat even left in the boat.

I`d like to thank everyone that has taken the time and effort to keep us informed and to post the pictures of this tragedy. I think that we all need to take the time to take a good long look at them, not out of morbid curiosity, but to see what really happens when things go terribly wrong.
