Richmond Radar Shootout 2003... Any info???
Traditionally this run has been completely unofficial. It is usually the first Saturday in October; which would be October 4th 2003. Does anyone know if this is a go? Last year the water cops really forked it up for everyone, and extreme disappointment was had by all. There was talk of organization this year, but that seems to not have happened.
Does anyone have any info?

I haven't heard anything about a Richmond run this year due to problems in the past maybe, but I do know there's a shootout on the Rappahannock River tomorrow (Saturday) and a few of the Richmond folks will be there including Cignificant whose riding on a 280 Velocity. Some of us were contremplating running up from Va. Beach (2 hours) but mother nature is throwing a curve. With big water 2 hours could turn into 4 hours. I'll be waiting for a call in the morning should a few brave souls decide to throw caution into the wind and take a shot at it......We'll see.....

Shah, I went to the Rappahnnock R.S. It got a late start, but ended up with about 40 boats. The sun came out and we didn't get any rain. Check out the marina we used - the whole darn thing was flooded when we got back!

HOLY CHIT MAN!!!! That place looks dangerous.
I caught up with a fellow Potomac fast boater and he said from all indications; it is ON on the first Saturday. He is good friends with Kenny, the 132MPH HTM, who took top cat honors two years ago. They are in the know.

Anyone know what the James looks like and Jordan Point? (I think that is the ramp we use.)
I can't wait, and I know who will be the proudest new boat papa there! (Craig223)

Steve?? Heard anything?
I know Jordan Point didn't look good a few days ago by the pics you posted.
And yes, I'm looking forward to Craig's new addition.... Haven't seen pics yet, and I'm still jealous.

I was mistaken. Osborne Landing is the ramp used for the past two years for most of the folks. Does anyone know what the place looks like?

I talked to Craig. He said he will more than likely not bring the Cig.

I just called VA Dept of Game and Inland Fisheries, and they said they do not have a report yet on the status of Osborne Landing. Try back tomorrow.
