I have read numerous posts praising arneson drives and bashing the Bravos. Is there any reason, handling, etc., why most hi-perf boaters still prefer beefed up Bravos? At 15,000.00ea with steering it can't be price. How would the handling with these compare to a Bravo on a 32' cat? Has anyone heard from Byron and his 36' Spectre with Arnesons?

Why Bravos are still favorites is a vast subject. I can tell you that it is not performance, nor reliability. It has more to do with marketing inc. Brunswick's market practices or malpractices, service, availability of parts... and the whole industry being used to and tooled up for Bravo-style drives. It is a cultural thing and habits are slow to change but you can't stop progress...
