does anyone have an idea how much the repairs on this boat would be. It seems the rest of the boat is in very good condition

Damn, that's a nice boat. Loto did you look at that boat in new york yourself, or just the survey.

never saw it myself.
spent 100.00 for a hull only survey.

the guys at midwest do beautifull restoration work on cigs.

I'd rather repair a boat I know is bad than repair a boat I thought was good.

I'm always surprised as to the estimate ranges people get.

The thing that worries me most but is overlooked is rot in balsa coring. Delamination will set in quick.

I think you guys might have missed a deal, but I don't know the details.

I found out the hard way that there was balsa coring in my TRANSOM of all places. blew the K-planes off on a stern landing and soaked the transom down good. I fixed it myself but it was a hell of a winter project for a do-it-yourselfer. The manufacturer swears they never used any balsa in my 88, yea, right. Oh, dont anyone get nervous, this is in my cruisers rogue not the formula. But, all your boats probably have coring in them.
