*****Stolen Cigarette: RECOVERED
Don't ever let anyone tell you there isn't a Santa Claus!
This morning got a call from the Lexington, Massachusetts police department saying they found the boat parked at the end of cul-de-sac in a very affluent neighborhood just outside Boston, and about 100 miles from where it was stolen over the weekend. A neighbor thought it looked out of place.
Over the last 48-72 hours, somebody spent some quality time surgically removing anything possible out of the boat. It's a shell. Never seen anything like it. I don't know what's worse -having it gone or having it hooked to the back of the Suburban without an engine/outdrive/trim tabs/swim platform/radar arch/dash/seats/interior -not even the damn fire extinguishers. What it did have -was fingerprints.
Will post more information and sickening photos tomorrow.
The Lexington PD did say the caller (one of the neighbors) was a boater, and although there is now way to track this back to OSO, I have to say again the response has been nothing short of amazing. You guys are fantastic.
Thanks to everyone. More to follow......

DD, i guess this is the classic good news\bad news kinda thing. Sorry they got so much from the boat. Hopefully insurance will cover the losses, and the low lives that stole it will be caught. You probably still feel sick to your stomach.
Hope you are ready for the water again come spring!

Well, again, this stops the wondering, and starts the headaches. I wish you only the best, and take this as an opportunity to re-rig bigger, better, badder, and faster than ever!

Hopefully the fingerprints will lead to an arrest. If not, You'll have a mess to deal with , through your insurance company. Sorry about your loss. Good luck.

DD~ Wow, that is unreal! I live in the next town over from Lexington, know the area well.
I still don't get it, (and I'm sure you don't either) but all that work to get to your boat and for what, to strip it? Keep an eye on The Want Ad, that is the big local "sell anything and everything" mag around here. Either that or someone has the same rig that you do and needed parts? Either way, it's effed up!
I hope the Lex. PD helps you find out something, if not let me know... I may be able to.
