***** Stolen Cigarette: RECOVERED
Don't ever let anyone tell you there isn't a Santa Claus!
Got a call this AM from the Lexington MA police department. Overnight last night, someone parked the boat at the end of an affluent neighborhood cul-de-sac just outside Boston and about 100 miles from where it was stolen.
The criminal(s) that did this spent the last 48-72 hours surgically removing anything and everything possible from the boat.
Not sure what's worse right now, having it gone or having it hooked to the back of the Suburban without the radar arch/engine/outdrive/trim tabs/brand new bolsters/dash/stereo/gps/fire extinguishers/swim platform/literally every piece of upholstery and a dinged up trailer. (And that's without even getting into the boat.) What they did leave behind -was fingerprints.
We will get you.
The Lexington PD said the neighbor that called it in was a boater, and although there is no way to track this back to OSO, I have to say thanks again to everyone.
The responses and advice and interest has been nothing short of tremendous.
Lastly, special thanks to the OSO staff for getting this the attention that they were able to.
More to follow (with pics) tomorrow.......
