Car Stereo Experts-
Hooking up the following in my ranger extended cab. Any suggestions on a box, or anything else?
2 way Pioneer 4" in the doors, 6x9 Pioneer 3 ways in the back, 600x4 Premier amp, 2 RF 10" Punch subs, then an Alpine CDA 7995 Head unit. Planning on a bandpass box?
Also, new alternator will be smart, how many amps should I get? The Amp is about 15' of cable from the battery, what gauge wire? Subs are a foot away from amp.

Hyper, are you gonna expand to add a seperate amp for the subs? If so run some 4 gauge with a fuse at battery and a fuse before the amp or distribution block. As for a bandpass box scratch it. What type of music do you listen too? Ported will let you get a little lower and a sealed will give you that kick that 10s are famous for.

As for the alt, jsut add an extra battery and upgrade the main battery. Yellow tops will ahndle this or find a distributer for some hjc's 1200 they start at 800cca's and go from there up. sub wire should be aorund12 gauge, just make sure of the sub ohmage is matched to the sub amp out put ohmage.

Listen to a bit of everything. Buffet, Hagar, new rock sometimes, techno, etc.
That amp is for the subs, the head unit has a 60x4 (i think....I know it has powerd outs, for some reason 60 sounds right?)

If you can wing it get a mono channel amp for the subs then use the 4 channel for the rest cleaner sound than off the head unit. wire the amps to drop the ohmage as low as possible as well but amtch it to the amp output power. probably would port the box to play from 40hrz as the lowest note.
