just because some people can't afford them does not mean you gotta trash them. Heck no way I can afford one, but I'm not about to start trashing them. There are some people out there that can afford $4800 a month.
Some people think everyone else should drive what they have, or they are idiots. I think I sense some jealousy.

Like a lot of other things, some one will always have one bigger, faster, make more money etc.
I like being the hill billy I am
Something special about pulling into a harbor full of million dollar yachts and tying up your home brewed cuddy cabin!!
We blow their minds!!
We stay on the boat no matter what the weather.
Eat on the boat, sleep on the boat, everything!!
One of the baechs we hang at, we pull up and drop anchor and then---
inflate my ($39.) inflateable dinghy and load it with my folding chairs ($9 each), propane grill ($19.), collapsable cooler full of beer, etc.
Then we set up on the beach and I will do steak or shrimp, or chicken breast on the grill. (I have pix's)
The funny part is when the "rich" people come walking down "our" beach after using their ($20K) jet launch to get to the beach from their (million dollar) yacht/offshore boat.
They lose it when they walk by! They're almost always having cold meat sandwiches cause there's no way in hell their trophy wives/girlfriends will actually cook on a boat!!
I do the same thing for breakfast when we are at dock.
They'll walk past in the moring and tell us they had cereal for breakfast while I'm making eggs and hash browns on my ($19.) grill and coffee in my ($29.) 12 volt coffee pot
It aint what you have, it's what you do with it!!.
I paid $10K for my Sonic (complete) and then stripped and sold everything but the hull and trailer meaning I had $4K net in the rig.
Then you can buy/build/find what you need as you can afford to.
I learned a long time ago it's fun per dollar! Period!
If you have $300K in your rig, how much fun do you have to have and how often to equal what we get out of our stuff??
Just so you know. It can't be done!!
Gary
P.S. I used to do the same thing in a $500. O/B cuddy cabin w/a $1500. motor. Still probably not matching that fun per dollar. And that rig crossed Lake Erie many times!

Everything in life is relative.
What's the difference if you make $50K/year and have a $25K boat or make $500k/year and have a $250K boat?
Who's business is it anyway?
