Admittedly, I am a fast driver. I tend to look at speed signs as "suggestions". "We suggest you do 70". However I am careful in not taking chances. I mean no tickets in 27 years and I get one for expired (by 22 days) tag. It's embarassing. If the streak had to end, I'd rather it'd been 70 in a Manatee Zone.

Well that sucks, Russ!
When I bought my F-250, it also no longer goes by my birthday and expires Dec. 31....And my birthday's in August, I drove around for 8 months with an expired tag, luckily no ticket. It's just not something you htink about.

Been a while for me, too.
I used to average one every 5 months.
I may be wrong, but the last one I remember was in 1992. 73 in a 55. In the snow. In a Saleen Mustang with DOT autocross slicks. Was gonna be wreckless, but after we talked, he just wrote it for speeding.

I can't say much about it to her, I got one just before Thanksgiving. I was doing 80 in a 55 on my way down to West Palm Beach. I was less than a quarter mile from where I'd turn.

I know the frustration, I was recently stopped in my girlfriends SUV that had HID headlights and the cop didn't like them. I received a ticket and had to take time off work to attain documentation to prove the Infinity FX-45 came factory equipped with them. Even though the ticket was dismissed it took a day away from my job and I still had to pay a $10 administrative fee. That Sucks I HATE THE HOUSTON AREA!

fight it dude, just get the renewal and show it to the judge, the judge would most likely let you off, at least that s the way it works in Miami Dade County

If you are the policy holder and your wife is added to it... and she gets a ticket your insurance should not change. However since you got the ticket it will change.
Or at least that's the way mine is. If yours isn't I would check with other agencies.
I have a Good Driver Discount! Nenernenernener.

Just go before the judge and plead guilty. Tell him the story, no excuses. Show him that you got the registration THAT DAY. You might just get off with a $40 fine.
