CIgarette FOrmula Fountain
A while ago I asked which was best ..cig..fount...form...
....what a surprise...cig's really sparked...and left me guessing...
...but I never realized that the rear platfor and beak on a FOuntain is a significant consideration...
...so I read from a thread on the FOuntaoin board that a 38' Fountain was similiar to the ride in a 35 cig.....the 42' was similiar to a TopGun ....
...so the bottom line is that good bottom design is important but size and weight are huge factors....
...I guess RESIN BUCKETS rule over all...and the new ones are great if you factor the swim platfor and beak in...
....my take is that Fountain is farily priced if you factor all this in...but the boat could use a few more paint splashes like the cig...and the cig just has always had the right touch and steps are here to stay...
and the Formula is inbetween somewhere...a good choice if you need comething inbetween a cig and fountain...
.....speed rules in moderate weather...weight rules in really rough water...
and bigger in boating is always better...and a boats life blood is in the engine hatch...so don't skimp....575' rule!
seems like anything over this is a trade off in reliability...
...am I finally strating to understand things...
...what puzzles me is how Baja is going strong..and the Scarab was killed...a true offshoer classic...and that boats like sonic and pantera are winners that nobody in my neighborhood sells...
....in Michigan our Formula and FOuntain dealers are in Ohio....
...at the Detroit boat show last year only Formula displayed....pantera was there a few years ago...
.....offshore boating in Michigan is waining...no dealers..and little demand...I think price is an issue...
....back when you could get a 35" for 30 grand and docs made 100 grand a year it was cool....now a doctor makes 200 grand and a 35' is about a years wages before taxes...have prices begun to kill offshore boating...maybe it's why it's called the sport of kings...
....hope things turn around...the 35' executioner for 150k seems like a deal...
what's your take guys?

negative, he's realizes the Fountain is the best boat for the money.
For the best deals on Fountain, Baja or MTI, call the Fountaon dealership in Dallas.

The 38 Top Gun is comparable to the 29 Fountain Fever.
The Fountain is probably a little better in the rough. JMHO

As for the ride of a 38 Cig its comparable to the 35 Fountain.

I have owned a Fountain for 6 years and I vote with my dollars.
Just ordered a New cig from lip-ship.
To me it was about quality of construction.
