Here are some other major clues:
1. The email address is always from one of those Free account email company. (hotmail, yahoo, etc)
2. They talk more about money than the product they are buying.
3. They repeat the name of the product over and over again, in the exact same way (filling in fields in a form letter).
"I would like to purchase your ITEM. I hope the ITEM is in good shape.."
One guy had a classfied ad that read like this;
"~:~Used Lifeline Jacket~:~
So when he got the scam email, the guy had copy & pasted the entire entry, and wrote:
"I am purchasing your ~:~Used Lifeline Jacket~:~. If you accept my offer, you will soon receive a cashiers check to buy the ~:~Used Lifeline Jacket~:~ .
And on top of that, he never even asked what size.
