We moved the battery switches up into the cockpit for easy access. Tres and his crew then rewired them and made a new plate to mount them in.

While they were at it, they moved the shore power connection to the outside of the boat where it belongs and rewired it as well. You can also see the blue Indian head that was under the vinyl.

The dash is almost finished. They still have to mount the new compasses, install the new GPS speedo and install the new steering wheel and hub. The GPS/plotter install came out pretty well. The plate around it also holds the keyed switches for the ignition. We tried to make the best use of the odd shape of that plate. It had to be that shape to cover the holes from where the gages had been removed and relocated. Next winter, when we have the interior apart, we can fill those holes before we recover the dash and then cut that plate down to make a nice bezel around the GPS. But, for now this is the way that it has to be. I think that Tres and his crew did a fantastic job with what they had to work with.

Thanks guys. I will be out of town for the next two weeks on my honeymoon, but I'll post another update when we get home. We are heading to Atlantis in the Bahamas and I can't wait! To top it off, by the time we get home the new trailer will be finished and the boat will be about ready for the water. Tres is going to do some of the break in for us and is also going spend some time getting this thing dialed in. I can't wait to get home from vacation so that we can go to Florida and run the boat! I'll see you all then. Take care.

Hey guys! We are home from paradise and back to the real world. What an experience! If you ever get the chance to go to Atlantis, don't pass it up. It is great!
Ok. Now an update on the boat. I have not talked to Tres, but I did have some new pics waiting when I got home. I'll call him tomorrow to get the full update. In the mean time, here are the updated pics.
This is one of the new extinguishers. There is one on each side tucked in the rear corner of the cockpit just underneath the rear bolsters. They are out of the way, but still easily accessible.
