I have had excellent luck with my 605 ci Lingenfelter motor.Single carb and no blower surge to fight with.840 hp, 800 ft/lbs of torque.Other than yearly oil changes, the only maintenance i have to do is adjusting the valves every 15-20 hrs.The only problem i have had in 3 seasons was blowing a spark plug out of the aluminum head due to someone cracked the porcelain when installing it,luckily the spark plug threads were still in the head i was down only as long as it took me to pull out the old plug and put in another one. When the plug blew the center out of it i was running about 80 mph ,it sounded like i had a air compressor under my hatch

Sterling is making a 900hp (it might be 925hp or 950hp I can't remember exactly) that is a slightly detuned version of their larger engine. It is supposedly good for 200 hours, on average, between rebuilds and is getting fantastic reviews from everyone who has purchased it. You may want to call them.

Many great names have been mentioned here. I will add two that build EXTREMELY reliable turn key naturally aspirated motors. I know many many people that have had engines built by the following two people that have had consistant TURN KEY reliability. Like was said earlier though, finding somoene to warranty it will likely be extremely difficult as operator input has so much to do with an engines lifespan.

Ask for Jason and tell him Shane sent you. He built Back4More's power.

For Reliability:

Large cubic inches, like a 706 or 736.

Low rpm.

I'll have to third the nod to CHIEF ENGINES, and believe me, if they're Kitty proof, I can't break 'em! Just kidding NK, see you next week.
