It's been a week, and I finally was able to read through the thoughts and prayers in this entire thread. I sat in front of my computer with tears running down my face at the support from so many people who only "know" me via this message board.
I truly believe that all your thoughts and prayers are what helped pull me through, and for that, I can never repay you all.
I am slowly building my strength back up, but of course, it is much too slow a process for me. I am not one to sit at home watching talk shows and soap operas. I haven't watched this much TV since I was a kid.
Fever Mike, I will most surely take you up on that boat ride when I am feeling better - just the thought of BEING in a boat motivates me to become stronger.
It's been said so many times already in this thread, but OSO is just an amazing group of folks. I am so grateful to have had this board behind me and my girls during such a trying time.
God bless you all,
Denise

Denise....I must confess, I didn't see this thread until Saturday so the family hasn't been praying for you...and frankly I wish I had seen it sooner so we could have. We're good at that.
As I read through this, it was quite nerve racking....it was a terrible accident and you were a hurtin' unit. By the end, I saw it had a happy ending and I was quite relieved, as were all your friends here.
I want to make sure you sit back and smell the roses. You are a very special person. You had friends immediately pull for you and take the girls, friends on the board praying and posting and pulling donations together. All of them (us) were truly concerned about you.
You're obviously strong willed and a fighter. I'm not saying that in a bad way, it's what pulled you through.
Forgive me, but being like minded I feel like I need to say something. Don't get frustrated and defeated by what you can't do yet. Your body has been through h#ll and while you're feeling better, your body is tired. Go ahead and take a nap - it's not a sign of weakness...it's actually the building of strength and healing. You'll gradually improve your mobility and strength and it's important for you to remember where you were a month ago, two weeks ago, and compare it to today. You're making progress, it just won't happen overnight.
I wish you the best. For now, we can pray for patience and strength and for you to understand that the two work together in harmony.
We're still thinking of you....
Bonnie
