mike i had the circuit shop replace the surrounds on a pair of jbl's 7 years ago. i just came across the old bill last week cleaning out a old file. the speakers were 12 years old at the time and jbl gave me there name and number. they did a great job, they still rock, and to think i thought i was going to have to get rid of them.

Oh, and this thread is boating related.... most of us have sound systems in our boats and tow vehicles..... now anyone who reads this thread will know that if you have a problem with say, one of your subs that some clod put his foot thru, you can have it fixed for a fraction of the cost of a replacement speaker. This in turn gives you more money to put gas in your boat!!!
All told, I saved nearly $200 having my speakers fixed instead of replacing the drivers. That's a good sum of money to ANYONE on this board.
