Go to www.carsdirect.com and price out the truck you want. They will give you a price that includes all available rebates and incentives. You should be able to by the truck for slightly below the carsdirect price if you are dealing with somebody in the fleet dept. It looks like you should be able to buy one for about $4k or more below invoice (not MSRP). I priced one out and the MSRP was around $45k, carsdirect price was about $35k

I just bought a used 2002 2500 Avalanche 4X4. I'm still getting used to the cladding, but man I love that big block. Tow's like nobody's business. If you buy a used certified vehicle, you'll probably save a lot of money.

Brian, I'm selling my Tahoe via my website. It has a pic with the Avalanche in the background.

Nice Bill. I had a '96 2-door Tahoe too. I LOVED that truck; even more than my Avalanche, but it did not cut the mustard for towing. My brother-in-law had a Pewter 2500 before I bought mine. He traded it to Carmax some time ago; could be the same truck. He now has a Yellow 2003 1500 Avalanche.

I have a 2002 I bought new in 2001,it now has 78,000 miles on it & only one problem to report. The cables on the tailgate rotted in half! Just got a recall on them AFTER I replaced them! LOL! I LOVE this truck there is nothing as versatile for going to the lake, etc.Enjoy your purchase!
