Houston Prop Makes Perfomance Happen!!
I want to make sure everyone knows what a great job Darin at Houston Props can do.
I sent him my 19 Mirage stainless prop late last year with all three blades bent over and when I got it back it was BETTER than new.
I got to test run the new prop on my boat this weekend and it made a huge difference in the performance of the boat. Base on what I told Darin on how the prop performed on the boat he made the adjustments to make it perform better. The biggest problem I had with the prop was cavitations when trimming and when turning, now the prop does not want to leave the water, it acts like it is a four blade, which I was thinking of switching to but did not want to lose the speed. Now I have the best of both worlds and don’t have to compromise. My topd end did not increase much, but we all want that extra 2 or 3 miles an hours, and i got it!
Thanks Darin!!

I called Darrin inquiring about his accelator design.. He was very helpful and informative.. He also spent @ 30mnts on the phone with me discussing my boat and prop and what could be done to get more out of it.. He seemed like real nice/straight up guy!

Neverenough--
FYI-- I called and left a message and Darren called back on his own dime... I haven't sent my prop to Darren yet but plan to in the future... How did 4 props get "broken" ? if you don't mind me asking

tc, you will love that accelerator conversion, It made a big difference in my 22 Scarab all around. I have had people ask me about it in line at the boat ramp and they always think it's a new version of the Miarge. Note to Darin, you need to put your name on it.

I sent my prop a 19'" quicksilver ss prop to Darin it was bannged up pretty bad. He repitched it to a 21 and gave it the accelerator treatment and I am very happy with the results. I only have a 4.3 v6 and was worried about loosing my holeshot, Darin said trust me you wont. results were great I actualy have a better holeshot and accleration even with more pitch and 2mph top end. couldnt be happier.
