Victory/InstaTrim prototype nearing completion, a few pics...
Here's some progress pics of the Victory trim tab upgrade for the InstaTrim owners. Thanks to those who have been patiently waiting for this moment. (you know who you are )
The Victory IT upgrade has been styled closely to the original Victory/Bennett upgrade, at least as close as I can come given the differences in actuator cylinders. Having said that it's important to note that the IT actuators are relatively short as compared to the Bennett and Lenco offerings. This shortness had to be overcome with an all stainless 'standoff' style bracket that positions the upper actuator mount further aft while following the natural arc/swing of the actuator hose. This eliminates the need to add or pull more hose through the transom as we all know just how difficult that could be given todays sealants. The lower mount is raised through design. Now the IT actuator can apply the same leverage to a 19" tab as the Bennetts and Lencos.(similar fulcrum position to the Vic/Benn upgrade tab) As with any Victory kit the original transom holes are utilized to mount the tab. The IT upper bracket transom holes previously used by the plastic four-bolt mount will be covered by the new Victory ss upper bracket and of course the stock lower plastic bracket has been made obsolete by the Victory tab design itself. Pricing and availability will be released on my website in the near future.

I'll start with a picture of three popular trim tab system actuators...

These new smilies are awesome! Geez Steve, You didn't have to give me my own though martinis rule.
Anyhow, let's get some 'protopics' rolling. First off, the Lenco InstaTrim and Bennett actuator cylinders showing the different lengths.

I will certainly do some investigating on your request. With the knowledge base on this board I'm sure someone knows.

Last one for tonight. I will take more pics of the prototype in black powdercoat and I will upload them tomorrow. I'm really happy with the design so far even though I have a short list of mods before production starts rolling...
