Found 2 pics from last years poker run
Poor quality because they were taken with a disposable camera, scanned, cropped, resized etc etc.
We had just made the turn south and went under the 301 bridge which is usually where the Potomac River changes its attitude toward us little 25' boat owners. We were running 45-50mph Banging (and I mean BANGING) across the top of the chop when we came up on a cruiser, 32' or so. Everyone on the upper deck was waving at us to "Come on".... "Lets see what you got"
Have you ever been in your hot rod mustang or camaro and pulled up to a light next to a teenage brat in a rice burner and thought to yourself, "I'll show him"? Then you find out its an all wheel drive highly modified turbo powered sleeper?
Well, after throwing the stick on the dash, we tried everything except throwing the cooler of beer overboard to get around this thing. My little 400hp small block 406 isn't the fastest thing on the river, but geeesh! The cruiser and I took turns showing each other our props for the next 15min or so, as you can see by the second pic. We did finally beat him to the 3rd card stop, only because I knew the channel into the bay. Tracked him down (At the gas dock, he needed it, I didn't ) and found out it was a Doral with 496's. What a fun day
