Been there done that. At least no one was injured. It looks like he was wearing his kill switches(no citation for it).

"Who gives a chit what kind of hull it has. Boats are no different than any other type of conveyance. Some are safer than others, just like the cars and trucks we drive down the road. Know their limitations and enjoy "

Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity seems to go beyond all potential limitations.
"MINOR INJURY,REFUSED TREATMENT"
That's the good news, boats are "cheap" from an insurance standpoint. Lately we have been lucky it's only "resin" damage.

Re: Another stepped hull goes dancing
When you race a boat it is expected that the limits be pushed. Unfortunately in step hulls that often results in a spin and ejection, or worse a rollover. I think that the problem is that boats with large aggressive steps give much less warning than people are used to. When the average guy who has owned straight hulls for years starts pushing his pleasure boat in a turn expecting to get some slide feedback he finds himself (hopefully) swimming. The fact that this discussion comes up is good. I am sure that a few people are more cautious with new boats with steps......... I know I am...NOT!!!

The word is out and forewarned is forearmed. Stepped boats need drivers willing to get experience to safely enjoy the benefits. If you are experienced "speed thrills"!
