What is an old Eagle Steel Trailer worth?
I have a 1990 Eagle trailer that has mostly been redone. But, I am considering going to an aluminum trailer for more flexibility as to where I can launch the boat (like salt water). The trailer has new carpet, bunks, brakes and tires. Is there a market for these? How much could it be worth?
I know I should put it in the classifieds or ebay, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to make the commitment to sell it yet...or should I say to buy a new one yet!

IMO... the only advantage of the aluminum trailer is it is lighter... dunking the trailer into salt water isn't such a deal with a steel framed trailer if you have it properly painted ... it's the springs, axles, bearings and brakes that get the worst from salt.... you are still going to have those problems with an aluminum frame.... And where ever there is a steel bolt through the aluminum you will have electrolysis..

Its a 30' triple axle painted blue...full length bunks. I've had it painted twice in the last six years. 1st time was six years ago, right after I got it. Then, just had it painted again about a year and a half ago. It seems that some of the paint is bubbling already...

They don't really float , but are light enough with 6 tires in the water , a slight tide or current going by the ramp can easily move the trailer from straight to the direction the tide is flowing. I've seen people hold them in place with ropes

Also for the record, I had to help hold down a buddies alum 32' tri axle trailer from floating. Not sliding, but floating to the surface.
