All four of the clowns on the left of the picture were summer dock hands. Their motivation, skills and abilities were pretty much in line with their behaviour. Their tip was also in line with their abilities. Someday, they'll figure out that there's a relationship between performance and compensation.

R - The Admiral is pretty relentless when it comes to keeping the ship shipshape. It's off to the paint shop next week for a little Imron work to make it easier to keep clean. Sorry we didn't cross paths with you guys last weekend.

Keith - It was a fantastic experience. We'll fill you in and show you the video next time we see you guys.

Sox - Does Karen know you buy gas there?

John, I highly recommend making the run up to my marina (Triton) on the Elk River for fuel. You won't be disappointed! [/QUOTE]

Sox, If it has anything to do with scantily clad women and/or the Capt. ........I'm in!!!! The wife and I may go to Chesapeake Inn on saturday!! I'll give you a call!!

The only problem is I always get my gas when the boats on the trailer, it will be quite obvious if I change my routine now

John, funny you mention the Inn!! I just got back from a "quick" run with some guys from work on my buddy's 29' Monterey. We pulled up around 6 and waited until after midnight until the tide came up to let us out. So much for a quick dinner and drinks
Give me a call We would love to meet up on Saturday

Well, in the end, it was more than worth it. The deed to my NC waterfront property arrived in Saturday's mail!!!

I'm ready to do the trip again, anyway...

River Forest Marina (Belle Haven)??? Now there's a jumping town LOL. Did you have dinner at the ONLY place in town? Actually, the old house has quite a bit of charm & pretty decent food. They started taking the keys from the golf carts at night after some "particular" late night antics .
I am just about to take one of my longest trips to date: Pittsburgh PA, down the Ohio river & Tenn-Tom waterway to Mobile Alabama, across the Gulf of Mexico to Florida & up the East Coast to Connecticut. Roughly 3200 miles. If everything goes well, it should take me 16 days. P.Burgh to Mobile alone is 7-8 days with all the locks. I hope the boss doesn't mind
I love the cruising in the areas you just visited. Don't let anyone tell you the Albemarle and especially the Pamlico can't get down right nasty. I have experienced extremely hairy conditions on the Pamlico on my 42' sport fish
