Nice job, a few broken blood vessels, take it easy, you stretched the ligaments and muscle and it needs to repair. Right now it is loose and could fold an ankle without even trying, as simple as turning. All you can do is ice it for the first 72 hours, after that it is too late, don't wrap it, just let it heal. Also don't move it unless you have to, don't sit there and twist your ankle around to move it more. You want it to heal tight or it will be a problem again. My last advice is to learn to walk on your hands because your feet are failing you.

Kaama, been there done that. I have the crutches and not one but TWO air casts for it. Use the RICE method. Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. And you can rub plain old alcohol on the bruising to help it go away. With all of that, it's still going to take a while, but the alcohol will help. Good luck! Grace....

I thought I just sprained mine several years ago. It looked like that. By the second day, I had to stick a rag in my mouth not to scream as I was being taken to the doctor. Found out it was broken. That was nearly ten years ago and the damn thing still aches and swells up everyday. I did a job for a highly touted orthepedic surgeon a couple years ago. I told him about my ankle. He said his wife had the exact same break. I asked what he did about it. He replied "Told her to get used to it".
