Re: TELL ME BEST BOAT UNDER 28ft
Well i found a 99 prowler with a 502 with 350 hours, its a 2 owner the first had it one year the cureent owner has had it 3 know it comes with triler and has the cool four color paint sceme witch was a $7000 paint job, its always dry docked never in water more then 1 day in water, always in heated storage in winter never in salt water for $52,000. Is 350 hours alot for a99 does that price sound about right for that boat.

There are a couple of rare PowerPlay 28s in Boattrader that are about as good as it gets. One has twin 350s and the other a bigger blown engine. The one with the single is way overpriced though.

Re: TELL ME BEST BOAT UNDER 28ft
sonic31,
I was just like you, and asking all the questions you are asking. I wanted the biggest, best riding, wave crushing boat with a single engine under 30 foot. Cabin space and cockpit room are very important to me, so is fit and finish. The cabin and cockpit in the 28 thunder are huge for any boat under 30 feet. The ride is awesome. Pat at Active Thunder has been awesome to deal with as well. I looked at all the boats you are looking at; (everybody is different and so are peoples needs) for me the choice was clear.

Re: TELL ME BEST BOAT UNDER 28ft
Well, this is little different twist on what most people have been talking about. If ride is a criterion, then I know that this boat will ride better than any 28' V in up to 2', maybe 3' water. I've been on the chain, and there is nothing the river could throw at this boat that would even cause it to waiver. Oh, and it also have a extreamly shallow draft. That is a important criteria for the chain. Oh...and did I mention, that I'm local?
