Lake Norman is located in Central NC. It is a large lake with lots of resteraunts/bars located on the water and the million plus houses along the lake are a dime a dozen. Plenty to see and do on the lake and in the Charlotte area.
The FUN RUN is a gathering of performance boats primarily from NC, SC and occaisionally from GA, although the Velocity Factory came up from Florida for the last one. We generally have around 20 boats ranging from 25'-40' with mild to big power. About 1/2 Vees and 1/2 cats. We meet at the Rusty Rudder which is a nice resteraunt/bar/marina with plenty of room for everyone to tie up. Socialize on the docks for 45 minutes or so and then blast off. We will run up the lake 10 or so miles, pause for a beverage and fellowship and then blast of again, making 3 stops or so before running up the lake for lunch.
I think you would really enjoy the lake and the area. Weather looks good for the weekend. It's going to be a little cool (mid to upper 60s) but so far no rain. Should be a great weekend! Hope you will come.
