I leased a 2003 BMW 745i and just turned it back in a few weeks ago. I changed the oil as BMW recomended at 15,000. My wife and I only put 37,000 miles on the car and 2 oil changes. The car ran perfect the entire time. It's a lease why worry... just follow the manufactures recomendations.

When I was in the Army in the late 50's, I was stationed at Governor's Island, NYC. Our ferry station was next to the Staten Island ferry station on the tip of Manhattan. We had about 30 boats there. I was in the Marine Section. We NEVER changed the oil. We changed the filters often and ran litmus tests to determine the Ph of the oil. We added chemicals to make the Ph just right, but we never ever changed the oil.........

Hey Reed
I just got service again last month (service #2). I've been so busy, it warned me that service was due in xxx miles, then later is said it was over due by xxx miles. I let it go 999 miles past due and it went back to zero again so by the time I brought it it.....it was only 600 miles over (again). Brakes on the front too. I also put the stock tires/rims back on for now cuz I didn't want to spend $2200 for new tires again.
Looking at the Quattroporte in a few weeks......
