Scale Model of 32' Cary "The Cigarette"
Does anyone know the details about the original scale model of Don Aronow's 32' Cary "The Cigarette?" I can recollect seeing this model in the book Muscle Boats, as well as in some old ads for Aronow Powerboats.
I feel like there was a thread here or maybe the Donzi registry boards about this model, how many were produced, where they are, etc. I know Michael Aronow has one at home, he mentioned that somewhere else, but as far as I know there weren't any available.
I am interested in any information or photos that anyone has, Brownie? Scott? Craig? Someone help me!
Thanks guys, have a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

From what I've been told, there were less than a dozen made. They were built in Italy for Don Aronow. The only one I've ever seen belonged to Dr Santiago (Zero Cavity) His was in Don's office for years.
You must have seen the one on ebay. I was bidding but we lost power with 2 minutes to go!
I'm surprised it sold for what it did. It's an extremely rare piece of offshore memorbilia.

Re: Scale Model of 32' Cary "The Cigarette"
Well thanks guys, you made my day, my christmas, my 2004 and probably my crowning moment in offshore boating!
I was the lucky high bidder at $430, meanwhile, I am in Vermont at my girlfriends winter home, where we only have a dial up connection and I seem to be the only one that had any luck bidding on this thing!
Can't wait to get it, I'll post pics as soon as it arrives. By the way, Chris del Collo was making a copy of the original powered by a gas R/C engine. He's a good guy and very knowledgeable. If any of you are interested in the new version, I'll put you in touch with Chris.
Keep the info coming, as I'd love to learn everything I can about this model! It will make the perfect addition to the collection in my office, as well as a close scale model to my '78 Mistress which is going to have the same graphics scheme!
Thanks again.

Hi Gang, Thanks for the interest!
Michael and I are making the scale version of the cary "the cigarette." We are putting the finishing touches on the whole package. And will get the word out once we know its exact. There are a few other projects in the works that we will soon make available to the offshore community!
There where 12 little cigarette models made, i believe; quite rare and fun to look at
If there are any questions feel free to drop a line or call!
Best to all,
Happy Holidays

Chris, it's Harry - I bought an original 32' model on eBay - did you see it? $430 on Christmas morning, don't think I could've beat that!
Drop me a line, I am in Vermont skiing for a week or so, but I am on and offline pretty often.
Also, if you can send the pics of that Patterson setup on Daddy Cool I'd appreciate it.
Have a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!
