I would think getting in as a helper or appretice with an established painter would be the best way. Nothing better than real world experience.

The biggest thing I've found about painting my boat, if you think the paint will cover something, IT WON'T.

It is to much toulinene .....this chemical makes you crazy and wacky lots of painters are shot out.
