Anyone have a 14K swinging davit for house?
Anyone have a 14,000 lb swinging davit for their house? Interested in possibility of swinging my 30 Sonic or next step up boat, 42 sonic from yard to water. Interested in 1) type of lift 2) requirements for base of davit and seawall strenght. My guess is that the davit base/seawall had better be steel beam supported somehow. Any ideas on this?
Not interested in floating hydrohoists/airdocks etc.

If you mean Phil at Lipship, my boat had better be inside the storage shed at Spinnakers and not elsewhere! <gg>

Hope it was a positive impression, just a little bit customized <gg>. Goldcoast used to maintain it for me. Since the boat was such a good customer of theirs, I used to get my favorite spot to moor it next to Phil's when I was down there. Wife and I used to enjoy watching all the fishes swim by us in the water. Like being ontop of an aquarium, perhaps the fishes all wanted to look at your handiwork on the Lipship boats!
Was on the boat about a month ago, would have been on it for the holidays but had to make a hospital visit.
Hope the new owners at TNT will let me do the same routine next time I go down there.

My 2000 42 Sonic was 14,600# twin 500's and a gen, 1/4 water no waste and 3/8 gas. You might want to move up to a 16,000# lift. I have three Hi Tide lifts and love them.

Lapse, I was thinking about one of those too. Do you have a manufacturer's name or web site?
I see those on the intercoastal but no names on the lifts visible form the water.
