Never blown a Bravo, but I try to be easiy on equipment.
Had a friend that blew the top cap off. He didn't know what had happend, but everyone within 100 feet of him knew due to the the stinch of gear lube in the air and oil slick around his boat. He was even using Red Line lube.

I have never busted a Bravo only because I would not own such Junk on a go fast boat ! Give me a good old TRS any time! Today's higher X dim. require bigger prop's that bite to hard on re entry, even the best throttle man will trash one in time ! Plenty of that in KW. Keep the slip factor right and you can beat the shnit out of aether drive ! I have gotten as many as 800 Hr's out of my TRS drives ! I realize my 550 a side in a old Velocity is not big power, but having a tranny that shifts better than a Bravo and moves the motors forward about 12 in. helps the CG compared to a Bravo boat as well ! I think the #5 drive should stay in the lineup for racing and Hp. boats !! WOW ! I feel better now ! Just my .02 cent's Ron OPA P4-33 STEELINTIME .
