Re: Boats and bikes, who has 'em?
Eddie Lawson might disagree on the green therory.
I still have my ole KZ1000(1327) Pro Streeter , Roxie's VFR , I am trying to get my little RD350 back in action for a pit bike this year. and have several various project bikes left over from the pre boat racing days when I had time to work on bikes.....lol.
a couple KZ's , Z1R , a 500 triple, another RD .
and of course a couple dirt squirters.

Tony, she's beautiful! I'm waiting on my turn....
And as for the superstition of the green bike being bad luck, I was reading the Harley History book, and it even mentions the a green bike is bad luck. I looked at every picture of every bike in the book and there is only 1 green one and it is next to the section about the superstition. Take that for what you will, and good luck!

Re: Boats and bikes, who has 'em?
Bought this new June 9, 1985. Worked with Dale Walker of Holeshot Performance Products to "build it". Ran consistent 10.1/10.2 quarter mile times. My mail carrier "made me an offer I couldn't refuse" and in a moment of stupidity sold it. Been kicking myself ever since. Don't see many Eliminators today and the young guys don't know what it is.
Stoplight to stoplight it was pretty much unbeatable. Over 120 mph you could feel the effect of not having a fairing like the fastest sportbikes, but 0 to 120 was as quick as anything, faster than most.
"Mods" included Keihein CR Series Smoothbore carbs, K&N filters, Dyna ignition, Supertrapp "Competition" exhaust, cams, valve job, timing advancer and dyno'd at 151 HP at the rear wheel.
"Ken" has given me first refusal, but don't think he will let it go. He collects bikes and just loves this one. Selling it was a big phuck up.
